I have a question: Does anyone know how tall the bot's are? When not in beast mode, that is.

We know that in season one, Rattrap was 150 cm tall (about 4'9". He's several inches taller in his Transmetal form). It's funny, but most of the Beast Warriors are as tall as humans!

I've heard people say that or say that he's been said to be 5ft but I am curious to know exactly where this info is originating from. If it's the toy boxes, I'd personally take it with a grain of salt. Those things are often weird and not accurate with the show's version of the characters.

To be quite honest with you, I don't really know. Definitely not from the tech specs. I've read the tech specs, they say nothing like that.

Actually, this is explained around in a couple of Wiki pages. When the Autobots upgraded into Maximals, they downsized in order to facilitate better fuel compensation. Smaller 'bots = less fuel needed. So, yes, they're pretty much all roughly human-sized. (Except for ones like Optimal Optimus, of course.)

I know that. It's still funny when you realize your favorite character isn't that much taller than you. Before her Transmetal II upgrade, Blackarachnia should be around the same height than me, even shorter! It's all kinds of bizarre!

I've seen it mentioned on various sites (none that I can recall at the moment, sadly) that Dinobot stood eight feet tall, transformed. I'm guessing that the majority of the transformer's animal modes are similar to the animal size itself (ie. Tigatron, Cheetor, Rhinox, Optimus Primal, Dinobot...), with exceptions like the insects, Airazor, and Rattrap.
