Title: The Trouble With Tails
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Series: Beast Wars
Characters/Pairing: Scorponok
Disclaimer: Transformers Beast Wars belongs to Hasbro and Takara, not to me.
Word Count: 196
Summary: Sometimes, a tail just isn’t worth the trouble.
Scorponok shifted, twitching the tip of his tail off of the wall and back onto the berth. This wasn’t working, he just couldn’t recharge like this. It had been only a day since his reformatting, and he couldn’t get comfortable in his berth. In his old form, his tail had been lower on his back, and the hole on his berth had been placed accordingly, but now that his tail had moved up, he couldn’t get comfortable, no matter what he tried. If he moved lower, his feet would stick off the bottom of the berth, but if he didn’t, his tail would force his back to arc uncomfortably. He had never been able to recharge on his front or sides, leaving him at an impasse.
After another few moments of twitching, Scorponok growled and got up, flicking the lights on. He had projects that needed to be done, and if he couldn’t sleep, then he would work on them until he could, starting with that berth of his...
Scorponok eyed the berth, then grabbed a portable laser, marking out in his processor just what would need to be done, to let him recharge.

Series: Beast Wars
Characters/Pairing: Terrorsaur
Disclaimer: Transformers Beast Wars belongs to Hasbro and Takara, not to me.
Word Count: 100
Summary: Sometimes, it isn’t even worth thinking about it.
Terrorsaur cut his jets, slipping into free fall for a few seconds, before he transformed into his alt in a roll, slipping up and around the jamming station in a wide arc. There weren’t any signs of the Maximals, and it was a clear morning, only a few clouds in the sky, all higher than he was. It was the perfect weather for messing around, and he would still, technically, be doing his job. That excuse held in the back of his processor, he folded his wings and dived, completely missing the rat and velociraptor creeping up from the south.

Characters/Pairing: Megatron
Disclaimer: Transformers Beast Wars belongs to Hasbro and Takara, not to me.
Word Count: 100
Summary: At the time, it had seemed the easiest thing in the world...
Megatron smiled harshly at the screen in front of him, detailing all that was known of the Maximals trapped on this planet with them. The leader was inexperienced, heavily so, and didn’t hold either the respect or fear of his troops. The scout was a child, the medic had anger issues, and the saboteur was a coward. Megatron had to laugh, he had known that this victory would be easy, as, after all, they were only Maximals. However, after reviewing the information, Megatron was convinced that this would be, by far, the easiest victory he had ever had.
Title: Work, Work, Work

Warnings: None
Series: Beast Wars
Characters/Pairing: Scorponok, Terrorsaur
Disclaimer: Transformers Beast Wars belongs to Hasbro and Takara, not to me.
Word Count: 100
Summary: Sometimes, you just need to frag off, Terrorsaur.
Scorponok grunted, shoving on the part, trying to get it into it’s slot. It needed to be in there for launch, and it just. Wouldn’t. Budge! Finally, after cycles of labor, he finally got it in with one last shove. His vents panting, he slumped against the bulkhead, a raspy voice interrupting his break, “Sure, you got it in, but are you going to be able to get it out again?” Fragger. Scorponok turned, glared at the mech, then pushed off the wall and stalked off to the next thing to do before launch, annoyed at the interruption.
Title: For Queen and Colony
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Series: Beast Wars
Characters/Pairing: Scorponok, Inferno
Disclaimer: Transformers Beast Wars belongs to Hasbro and Takara, not to me.
Word Count: 409
Summary: Sometimes, it’s what’s not said, that matters.
A/N: This takes place in my head canon, which claims that Inferno and Scorponok were not on bad terms in the slightest.
Scorponok rubbed his forehead with the tips of his claw, staring at the mess of parts and wiring on his workbench in front of him. This was easy. He should be able to do this, but ever since his failure with Starscream, he’d just been off his game, unable to think clearly, unable to work things through properly. He needed a break. A walk, maybe a quick patrol, something, anything to take his processor off of his failure.
He pushed away from the workbench, turning towards the door, and headed out of the base, ignoring everyone he passed, just focused on getting out. Maybe he’d head out to the desert nearby, there was one rock in particular that seemed to have been made just for him...
~~
Inferno frowned as Scorponok walked by without returning his greeting. That was strange, for the tech, he had seemed to understand the importance of Colony. As he had no orders from the Royalty at the moment, Inferno saw nothing wrong in his trailing the tech, to see where he was going while looking so upset. The Colony was only as strong as the members therein, and what unsettled one, unsettled all.
Inferno transformed into his ant mode, which, despite what the Queen had told him, still seemed like the more natural mode, and took off after the distracted scorpion, as much as to watch his back against the Enemies to the Colony, as to find out what was upsetting the him.
~~
Scorponok, on reaching his rock, settled down in his alt mode without scanning for others of his kind, as the Maximals never came in this far into Predacon territory. Because of this, he didn’t notice Inferno’s approach until the other was right up on him, for, despite the ant’s size, he could move incredibly quietly if he wanted to.
Scorponok startled as the other Predacon came into his sight, settling down beside him, watching the direction of the Maximal base. Scorponok waited for Inferno to speak, to spout his usual half-incomprehensible rambling about Queen and Colony, but for now the ant seemed to be content to just lay there. Rather than talk, and risk upsetting the pyromaniac ant, Scorponok remains silent, simply laying there in the sun, knowing that, when he returned to the base, all would be as it should be, and he would be able to finish the device Megatron had commanded him make.
