Animated Preview!

Wow Ok in my last post I said the Animated preview was going to be at 8pm it is actually 7p.m. EST and here is the preview http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/video/

3 mins long but Black Arachnia is in it! even for like 5 seconds lol.

Ok that is probably all I will say about that show. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Also I am wondering if Black Arachnia is going to be the same one from Beast Wars/Beast Machines and if any references or continuity will be involved.

G1 Silverbolt and SB/BM Silverbolt

There's a fundamental error there. BM Silverbolt is supposed to be BW Silverbolt, sure, but... he's just too far removed from BW Silverbolt. This is not "innocence gone", this is more like "everyone liked Dinobot, so let's take this cheerful, goofy character and turn him into a watered-down Dinobot! With more EMO!!! It's all the rage these days, you know."

Yeah the personality was drastically different for most of BM and believe me I was pissed about it when I first saw it, but later I realized that if he had gone back to being the white knight after the whole Jetstorm thing, it would have been totally unrealistic. Yes, they could have toned down the emo, but in the end I think it was actually somewhat necessary for the character to develop.

I didn't want him to develop like that. The whole Vehicon Generals plotline was lame in the first place.

Eh well like I said, BM was a very dark series to begin with. To have happy-go-lucky SB would have been wiered. I don't like everything they did with him, and I certainly wouldn't have kept him angsty till the very end they way they did, but overall I thought it was an interesting way to go at the very least. It's always easy for a former bad guy to do something heroic and be redeemed. But for a knight in shining armor to drop so low and then bounce back (though naturally scared), that's something I've never seen done before.
